Our most recent foray into the world of information literacy saw us examine podcasts.  One that I have perused in the past is Nerdzilla, produced by ABC Hobart.  The presenters describe it as;

Welcome all you nerds, geeks, technophiles, comic readers, sci-fi lovers, fantasists, gamers, brainiacs, gadgeteers and Mensa members. Nerdzilla is a program made by nerds, for nerds. We look at the latest news, review geeky stuff ranging from movies to strategy games, interview intelligent and interesting people, argue over silly stuff, and wrap it up neatly in an MP3 file.

An Unexpected Briefing

AizNZ has a habit of putting out interesting and unusual ads and video. Here is another one, this being an inflight safety movie, this time inspired by the upcoming The Hobbit move.

Delicious! Ponderings

Further to our adventures in Blogland, we intrepidly explored Delicious, the social bookmarking manager. Some difficulty was had in attempting to sign up given the randomly generated words requried to be repeated were not the easiest to read, but once that was done we were in. Delicious allows for the entering of website URLs and the ability to add tags to them. This allows you to acess yoru favourite website bookmarks on any computer rather than only on only one computer if you bookmark through a browser. Most handy if you travel or use multiple computers for whatever reason.

Experimentations with powerpoint

Four our lessons we have been requried to construct a short powerpoint relating to a video we watched on Information Literacy, to ponder what it conveyed, and to make a series of notes. Hereby follows mine.
